PRP Facial
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy is known as a Vampire Facial because it uses the patient’s own blood. Platelets found in plasma are removed from a sample of the patient’s blood, then micro needled into areas of the face to promote healing.
Platelet Rich Plasma Facial
Platelets are cells found in the bloodstream that allow blood to clot. When a clot is formed, platelets emit enzymes that boost healing and aid in tissue regeneration by drawing stem cells to the area to help repair damage. We withdraw a sample of the client’s blood and take the PRP from it. This is injected back into the skin tissue using a fine needle, encouraging the production of collagen and new skin cells, which allow skin to heal and renew, creating younger, firmer, softer and more supple skin. We will also use the platelet serum to skin needle the facial skin.
The therapist will use the Micro needling device, alosng with sterile single use micro needling cartridges for a microneedling treatment, then apply the platelet-rich plasma to the treatment area.

Frequently Asked Questions - PRP
PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma, a treatment derived from one’s own blood that contains growth factors and a high concentration of platelets. The treatment has a wide range of applications, including skin rejuvenation, hair restoration, and joint pain management.
PRP has been used successfully for over 20 years and is considered a safe and minimally invasive treatment. It uses the patient’s own blood, making it free from any risk of allergic reactions or rejection.
PRP treatment can promote natural healing and rejuvenation by stimulating the body’s production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid, as well as increasing blood flow to the treated area. It is a non-surgical alternative to more invasive procedures and can help improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, scars, and even hair loss.
The length of the procedure depends on the area being treated and the amount of PRP required. Typically, the entire process takes around 30-60 minutes.
Most patients experience little to no downtime after PRP treatment. There may be mild swelling and redness immediately after the procedure, but this typically subsides within a few hours.
The results of PRP treatment are gradual, with most patients noticing improvement within 4-8 weeks. Optimal results can be achieved with a series of treatments.
Patients may feel a slight discomfort during the blood draw and injection process, but a local anaesthetic can be used to minimize any pain.
PRP treatment is suitable for individuals of all ages and skin types, especially those looking for a non-surgical alternative to traditional procedures. It is also popular among athletes for the management of joint pain and injuries.
The number of treatments required depends on the individual and their desired outcome. Typically, a series of 3-6 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart is recommended for best results.
The cost of PRP treatment varies depending on the area being treated and the number of sessions required. At our clinic in the UK, prices start from £160 per session. A consultation with one of our practitioners can provide you with a more accurate cost estimation.
