laser tattoo removal

At Naomi Waite Aesthetics, we specialize in laser tattoo removal treatment that delivers excellent results. Our advanced laser tattoo removal system is designed to remove unwanted tattoos effectively and safely, without causing any significant damage to your skin. During your laser tattoo removal treatment, we will adjust the laser settings to match the size, color, and depth of your tattoo.

Our laser treatment is suitable for all types of tattoos, including amateur tattoos that are usually formed with a single-colored Indian ink and very superficial in the top layer of skin. Professional tattoos, usually multi-colored tattoos using a machine and maple ink, are also effectively treated. However, please keep in mind that greens, yellows, and purples will typically fade slightly but may never be removed entirely. If you have cosmetic tattoos such as eyebrows, eyeliner, or some lip liners that are permanently tattooed into your skin’s superficial layers, we can remove them as well.

At Naomi Waite Aesthetics, we also understand that some individuals may have had an allergic reaction to tattoo ink, and having laser treatment on the tattoo can greatly reduce your allergy symptoms. But before you have your treatment, we will provide you with a patch test, detailed information and a thorough consultation to ensure that you are suitable to undergo the laser removal process.

Our laser is a variable spot size, double rod ND Yag machine that offers the best laser tattoo removal technology. The variable spot size spreads the light energy over a larger area, providing you with the best possible results. During the treatment, the laser energy is directed toward the tattoo ink, breaking it down into tiny fragments. The body then automatically absorbs these fragments, eventually eliminating them from your system. The procedure is safe and effective, and most patients report only mild discomfort during the process.

The duration of the treatment will depend on the size, color, and age of the tattoo. Smaller and less complicated tattoos typically require fewer sessions than larger, multicolored tattoos. After each treatment session, you will notice the tattoo becoming lighter and fading over time. However, it is essential to remember that multiple sessions may be needed for optimal results.

At Naomi Waite Aesthetics, our clients’ safety and satisfaction are our top priority, so we take every step necessary to ensure a successful outcome. Our team of trained professionals is always here to answer any questions you may have and provide you with the necessary support.

Frequently asked questions

Laser tattoo removal is a procedure that uses a focused beam of laser light to break down the ink particles in a tattoo. This allows the body’s immune system to absorb and eliminate the ink gradually, resulting in the tattoo fading over time.

Laser tattoo removal is generally safe when performed by a qualified and experienced practitioner. However, as with any medical procedure, there are some risks and potential side effects. These may include skin irritation, scarring, changes in skin pigmentation, and infection. Your practitioner should discuss these with you before the procedure.

The number of sessions required to remove a tattoo will depend on several factors, including the size, age, and colour of the tattoo, as well as the individual’s skin type and immune system. Most tattoos will require multiple sessions, typically spaced several weeks apart, to achieve optimal results.

Laser tattoo removal can be uncomfortable, but most people do not find it excessively painful. Some describe the sensation as similar to a rubber band snapping against the skin or hot grease splattering on the skin. Your practitioner may offer a topical numbing cream or cold air to help manage any discomfort.

While laser tattoo removal can effectively remove many tattoos, not all tattoos can be completely eliminated. Darker colours, such as black, blue, and green, tend to respond best to laser treatment, while lighter colours like yellow and pink may be more difficult to remove. Additionally, tattoos that have been previously treated may be more challenging to remove.

The cost of laser tattoo removal will vary depending on several factors, including the size and complexity of the tattoo, the number of sessions required, and the location and experience of the practitioner. Our prices typically range from £30 to £100+ per session.

Following laser tattoo removal, it is generally recommended to avoid direct sunlight, hot tubs, swimming pools, and strenuous exercise for several days to reduce the risk of infection and promote healing. Your practitioner will provide you with detailed aftercare instructions specific to your situation.
