Hair Stroke 3D Brows
Quick answer
Hair stroke 3D brows combine fine strokes and careful shading to build a fuller, natural-looking brow with visible depth. It is a popular choice for thin or sparse brows, or anyone wanting a softer, more youthful shape, with colours blended together during your consultation to suit your natural colouring.
What are hair stroke 3D brows?
Hair stroke 3D brows use fine strokes combined with careful shading to create a three-dimensional effect, giving the impression of a fuller, more natural-looking brow rather than a single flat block of colour.
Colours are carefully selected and blended during your treatment to create a soft, layered effect. It is a particularly popular choice if your brows are thin or sparse, or if you would simply like a softer, more youthful brow shape.
Because it draws on both stroke work and shading, this technique gives your practitioner more flexibility to balance detail and softness across the brow, building depth where it is needed most rather than a single uniform tone.
Who suits hair stroke 3D brows?
This technique suits clients with thin or sparse brows who want added fullness and shape, as well as anyone wanting a natural, textured finish that reads as real brow hair rather than a solid block of colour.
- Thin or sparse natural brows
- Wanting a softer, more youthful brow shape
- A preference for a textured, natural-looking finish
- Wanting more visible depth than a single flat shade
What happens during your appointment
As with our other brow techniques, your appointment starts with an in-depth consultation to agree your brow colour and shape, and the area is numbed for comfort.
A template of the proposed shape is drawn for your approval, and colours are then blended and applied using a combination of fine strokes and shading to build the finished 3D effect.
Because this technique layers strokes and shading together, your practitioner will build the effect up in stages, checking the balance of definition and softness with you before the appointment is complete.
Healing and aftercare
Healing follows the same pattern as our other brow treatments, taking around four weeks. The brows often look darker at first, fade as the skin heals, then resurface to their intended shade and depth.
During the first fortnight, avoid sun, sunbeds, saunas, heavy sweating, swimming and picking at the area, keep the brows dry other than gentle cleaning, and use the aftercare lotion provided as directed.
A touch-up appointment is generally included, to fine-tune the strokes and shading once your brows have fully healed.
